I had an internship at Grandmaster recorders on Cahuenga.

Coincidentally, Weezer did the final Make Believe sessions there. One of the songs recorded was "Beverly Hills".

Amazingly, I discovered that the man living across from me on Rodgerton at the end of the 90's was my boss from my internship. Allan.

He once told me "If you accidentally touch the recording head with the degausser, just get up and walk out and never come back because you just ruined a $25,000 machine."

I did mostly menial, wrapping cables, scrubbing floors and toilets. I did assist on a few sessions, including one with a rapper in which I had the absurd gumption to suggest a hook idea when they were stuck.
